After seeing swatches on Instagram and Periscope, decided to order two Eyedeal Duos from DOSE of COLORS.

The product is packaged in a two story compact with the primer on top, and complimenting pigment on the bottom.

ABOUT THE BRAND:
Dose of Colors in @Makeupbyanna's labor of love. "Through Dose of Colors she is able to freely show her artistic taste in color and hopes to teach and inspire everybody to love makeup as much as she does."

MAPLE - This color is a rich copper. The base is very pigmented and the loose pigment adds a gorgeous glimmer and shine.

SHELL - Is my favorite shade of the two. Shell is a breathtaking rich warm nude shade. It can be worn alone all over the lid, or in the center of the lid above the pupil to make the eye pop. I think everyone needs at least one product in this shade.

Packaging - 9/10
I love the cute little double-decker compacts. It's clean and sleek, yet durable.

Pigmentation - 9/10
I was surprised by how pigmented the bases were, I actually thought the loose pigment would have more pigmentation. To get the full effect, you definitely need to use the base and pigment concurrently.

Application - 8/10
While loose pigments are typically messy, I was able to apply the base and loose pigment with my fingers. Obviously, a flat synthetic brush would have been the optimal way to apply the product, I was impressed at how easy this product was to use. The texture of the loose pigment was not, however, what I expected in that it was more glitter than actual pigment.

Price - 7/10
The Eyedeal duos are $25 for .16 oz of product. In comparison, Makeup Geek Sparklers are $12 for .14oz. However, the sparklers are loose pigments without a base. Tom Ford makes a similar product called Cream and Powder Eye Color Duos which contain .31oz of product (Cream color=.24 oz + Powder Eyeshadow .07 oz.) for $66. In terms of price, Dose of colors Eyedeal Duos are in the mid-level price range. I have not tried Tom Ford or Makeup Geek products, this comparison is based solely on price/oz.

Availability - 7/10
I purchased the Eyedeal Duos online @ doseofcolors.com. This brand is only offered in-store at Ricky's and Naimies, in California. Despite its limited availability, shipping was a flat rate of $5.50 and I was pleased with how quickly I received my order.

OVERALL SCORE: 40/50

PROS CONS
Very Pigmented in bright, but wearable colors. MODERATE amounts of glitter. If you are opposed to glitter and fallout, this is not the product for you.

Overall, I am quite happy with my purchase.

Have you picked up any of the DOSE Eyedeal Duos?

xoxo, Shelley
